This one will be a K-Mart exclusive and will include, once again, the same ultra-articulated figure, but with a new accessory, a shiny trumpet! Jakks Pacific, the brand more commonly known for the awesome WWF/E figures between 1996 and 2009, and who came up with innovative playsets like the Titantron Entrance with sounds and lights, seems to have caught lightning in a bottle once again!

In 2018, the brand came up with the "Toilet Paper Blasters", a genius line of toy weapons that would use real, actual toilet paper to shoot spitballs on your enemies. 2 models came out, the "SKID SHOT", to "wipe out the competition" and the "SHEET STORM", with rapid fire spitballs. The Toilet Paper Blasters were well received, but quickly forgotten.

Enter the Covid-19, 2 years later (2020), and people started to panick and buy huge amounts of toilet paper, which became for a few weeks a rare commodity, as all supermarkets across the world were completely sold out, and all the toilet paper sections were empty. People were selling toilet paper and hand sanitizers at a higher price, it was insane! After a few weeks, when people started to realize that you cannot eat toilet paper to survive, they were left with several lifetimes supplies of toilet paper rolls, and most stores were not taking them back. Hundreds of toilet paper rolls, and nothing to do with them, unless... 

"THE TOILET PAPER BLASTERS TO MAKE A HUGE COMEBACK!"

Jakks Pacific saw it as an opportunity, and in a genius marketing stunt, the Toilet Paper Blasters should be back in stores real soon, and are sure to sell like hotcakes! ToyFarce News has already seen some on display at the local toy stores!

ToyFarce News does not usually like to give attention to reports about celebrities and their private lives, but the latest developments on this subject have led us to break our silence. 

Known for his role in the Toy Story movie franchise, and also our childhood, Mr. Potato Head has always been an important figure in the toy world. Everybody knows Mr. Potato Head. But it seems that some remember him with a very different...potato head! If you look at this comparison picture, one could clearly say that his appearance has indeed changed over the last 60 years...

Over the weekend, Hasbro representatives of Mr. Potato Head have been refuting the accusations that their client has had extensive plastic surgery over the past few decades. Even Mr. Potato Head's closest friends and fans have expressed doubt about that statement: "Even just in Toy Story, you can clearly see that his face and the texture of his skin have changed from one movie to the other. That man is addicted to plastic surgery, or there isn't a snake in my boot!" said one of his co-stars who wished to remain anonymous.

Do you remember Geoffrey the giraffe? Do you remember how people were happier when Toys'R'Us was still around? Do you also think that closing down all Toys'R'Us in the US started a chain of events that would lead to Australia being on fire, a global pandemic and chaos all over the world in 2020, à la "Butterfly effect"? If so, ToyFarce News would like to hear from you!

In the spirit of trying to cheer up and support each other, let's all share a memory we have from Toys'R'Us. It can be a good memory, a bad one, a funny one, anything. How many of you did work in a Toys'R'Us, for example? Or how often did you go there? Let's all have a conversation and try to think about something that is now gone, and that we are missing.

I'll go first: I worked at a Toys'R'Us as a part time job during the Christmas season, over a decade ago. I started in the late afternoon, and stayed after hours until after 10pm to re-fill all the shelves that had been emptied out during the day, so that the parents...I mean... Santa Claus could come and pick up the toys for all the children. On December, 24th, which is Christmas Eve, a woman with a cart full of toys came to me and asked if we had the most popular toy from that year, which had been sold out everywhere for weeks (it was a known fact). I explained to her that we didn't have any, but that we would get some after Christmas. She then proceeded to yell at me, telling me that I just had personnaly ruined her child's Christmas, and it was my fault if the kid didn't get that toy. It was not her fault for being a crappy parent and doing all the Christmas shopping at the very last minute, no! It was my fault. To this day, it still haunts me.

What would be Star Wars without the legendary Opening Crawl? Could you imagine? The Opening Crawl is literally one of the first things you see when you're watching a Star Wars movie, even before being introduced to C-3PO, R2-D2, Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker.

After years of being omitted by Kenner and Hasbro, the Opening Crawl of "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope" will finally make its action figure debut, in the form of a beautiful Black Series figure, no less! The Opening Crawl was handpicked by the CEO of Hasbro himself, who had enough to see unimportant characters like Yak face, Snaggletooth or the Gamorrean guard steal all the spotlight, while the Opening Crawl was never made into figure form.

It has been revealed to ToyFarce News that there will be 3-packs including each trilogies' Opening Crawls (one for the original trilogy, one for the prequel trilogy and one for Episode VII, VIII and IX) to be revealed as Comic Con Exclusives later this summer (which is a good move, as we can imagine the Opening Crawl of Episode VIII would become an eternal peg-warmer), but the very first one, the original one from the very first Star Wars movie, the one that started it all, will be released as a single figure. The figure will include a transparent stand, so that it can be displayed leaning backwards, for dynamic effects!

It is no secret that today's economy is in shambles, and it is a common known fact that Lego brick sets are generally quite expensive. Several economy experts gathered last week to decide what would be the future of the economy, and they may have found an answer: the Lego brick!

Founded in 1932 in Billung, Denmark, Lego didn't start making the classic Lego bricks until 1949, and has been a staple in the toy industry ever since. Millions of children have played with Lego brick sets, and a lot of them still do as adults, as there are countless adult Lego collectors worldwide. One thing that has become an issue over the years is the ever-increasing prices of the Lego sets. One of the latest sets, the Lego Haunted House (10273) came out earlier this month, for $249,99. Some bigger sets, such as the Star Wars Death Star go for over $499, while sets like the (huge) Millenium Falcon go for $799. Some older sets can now be found for thousands of dollars.

With the economy in a really bad condition, having the Lego brick as a "gold standard" could help, strengthen the economy and turn things around. It has been a very eventful week in the United States of America, and ToyFarce News usually prefers to stay away from anything controversial or political (we really just want to make people laugh with stories about toys), but after several reports were sent to us, we felt like we had to say something...

It has been reported that scalpers (aka flippers, aka scammers, or whatever name you have for them) are taking advantage of the riots and the looting to go and grab all the toys, especially the Target exclusive figures, in order to sell them for a much higher price on eBay later on, making it hard for good and honest collectors to get them.

Just when we thought that they were the lowest, they have managed to go lower. If you see a scalpers doing this, please BOO him/her. 

ToyFarce News hopes that every one is safe and sound during this difficult year, when a global pandemic was apparently not enough, the murder hornets was just a filler episode, and allegedly, the next part involves monkeys that stole some COVID-19 samples after attacking a lab assistant (this is not even a joke, google it!)

Hasbro's Marvel Legends series is proud to announce that they will release the one true hero from the blockbuster movie "Avengers: Endgame" in action figure form!

The Marvel Legends series has been releasing several vehicle and figure sets, but there was always one important character missing. That's right, we're talking about Marvel's The Rat, the hero that started a chain of events that lead to the defeat of Thanos in the movie that made 2,798 billions $, the last chapter of the Infinity Saga, "Avengers: Endgame"!

At last, fans will be able to display their entire Marvel Legends Avengers team alongside the true hero that lead them to victory. Marvel's The Rat will also come with Luis' van, the instrument that enabled him to help the Avengers fight Thanos, by releasing Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) while running accross the Quantum Realm machine, and therefore, saving the Universe. No release date announced at this time.

"There are tons of amazing statues nowadays: Prime1 Studio with their huge 1/3 scale statues, Iron Studios and their epic Marvel and DC battles series, Queen studios and their lifesize realistic statues, XM Studios, the Sideshow Polystone ones, etc... There are so many great brands and it's a great time to be a statue collector... but it would be great if some of them had some articulations..."

Those are the controversial words from Yann, a statue collector from France, who started collecting statues over two decades ago, starting with the Marvel Comics statues from Bowen Designs, before moving on to bigger and bigger things, litteraly.

"At the time, I could fit a dozen statues on a shelf. They were not taking too much space. But nowadays, we get those beautiful but gigantic pieces with a huge cape going in one direction, or the leg kicking in the other direction, or a spear going upwards, or some huge base, and it takes so much space that I can't display more than one or two on each shelves... Now hear me out... What if the statues had articulations? Let's say on the kicking leg, an articulation so that it could bend a little, so that I could display another huge piece next to it! Wouldn't it be amazing? Why do those statues always have to have such huge dynamic poses anyway? Can't there also be 'Museum poses' too?" (referring to the "standing straight, arms along the body, face looking forward" pose, the lazy "right out of the box, no dynamic posing" kind).

ToyFarce News asked Chris from the awesome "Batman Statue Collector" YouTube channel, the brotherhood of the Bat-collectibles (Seriously! We really did!) for his opinion about what Yann said:

"I totally agree with Yann. Action poses tend to be really boring to me.  I prefer my statues to be as stagnant as possible to not distract from the other smaller scale statues in my collection.   I prefer statues in the 1/10 scale range that have as little detail as possible and I realistically want them to look like barbie dolls, which I absolutely LOVE!! The more articulation and brushable hair, the better!!"
