Star Wars day (May, the 4th) was only a few days ago, and these 2 lego sets showed up at my door right on time! (Reviews are usually posted earlier, but I had not finished those 2 yet. Apologies for the delay! I’m sure plenty of collectors were worried about not seeing a review posted at the usual time, right?).
The Darth Vader box is slightly bigger than all the other ones.
I had already picked up the first 3 that came out last year (Boba Fett, a Stormtrooper and a Tie Fighter pilot) and had been blown away by the quality, size and fun aspect of those sets. Let’s get started with the Scout Trooper!

The Scout Trooper looks pretty good as a Lego! It took around 1h/1h30 to build, while watching TV. It would probably take a shorter time if you focus just on that. I like those Lego sets that can be done pretty fast! Now, it’s Vader time (the Darth one)!

Those Lego sets are very fun and look great on a shelf. Lego has also made some Marvel ones (Iron Man, which does not look good AT ALL to me, and more recently Carnage and Venom), and a Batman one just came out, which I might have to pick. Here are the 2 new Star Wars ones, along with the previous ones!

Whether it’s a Lego set, a wrestling ring, a Megazord or a Gundam figure, applying stickers on your toys has always been a major pain in the ass. It is a known fact. The stickers part has always been our least favorite part of any toy that requires them.
Generally, we end up with something looking like this…

And then, removing them to place them better makes a mess, some of them has a strong glue which messes up everything, or they don’t stick anymore, or the corner which you folded to grab the sticker is all messed up, etc… We’ve all been there.
ToyFarce found out in a Facebook group (LEGO Setposting) that a user called Joshua Cameron Baker managed to put his lego stickers perfectly fine, and he added a picture:
This can mean only 3 things:
-Joshua lied.
-Joshua has superpowers.
-This is photoshopped.
While doing some research online to see if such an achievement had happened other times, we came accross this picture, which is also most likely edited. ToyFarce finds it hard to believe that it’s possible to apply stickers with such precision without being a robot.

Last week, ToyFarce received the brand news Lego set, the 1989 Batwing from the 1989 Batman movie. After posting about it on Instagram, and being mentioned by Lego themselves…
Not once…
But TWICE (after saying that all weekend plans had been cancelled upon reception of the set), we decided to start the construction of that amazing set. Here’s a peak at the progress made during the weekend. But first, mandatory packaging shots!

It was a fun build and that thing is beautiful! It is bigger than expected, and the fact that there is an option to put it on a wall (thanks to a wall mount piece) makes it even better. The display stand is nice, but the Batwing would have to be displayed on a very low shelf in order to be able to look at it. The wall mount option is definitely better. Here are some shots with the Batmobile that came out last year!

Lego, the Danish building sets giant, has released a series of costumes for adult that is extremely… creepy! Look at their hands! Look at the bottom part! There is something inherently wrong with a Lego mini-figure with human sized proportions, and normal legs. It looks like something right out of Dr. Frankenstein’s laboratory!

BYGGLEK, the very first collaboration between IKEA, the giant Swedish furniture maker, and Lego, the giant Danish toymaker, is expected to be available later this week, on October 1st 2020.
How a collaboration between the 2 has not happened before, I do not have a clue. They both basically sell a product that you have to build yourself at home, so it doesn’t make sense that they waited for 2020 to finally decide on a partnership. They could have at least made the double-decker couch from the movie!

However, it was not without some controversy! ToyFarce managed to uncover a press release that was never published that mentioned that both brands share more than just products that you have to build:
They both add a few extra pieces in every box, “just to confuse the hell out of people” !
Have you ever built an IKEA Billy or Detolf to display your collection, and once it’s all done, you are left with a handful of screws and those weird long wood thingies? Do you remember building a nice Lego Star Wars set and feeling puzzled at the end of it because there is still a dozen tiny pieces left that have nowhere to go? Well, it turns out it was all on purpose!
There is even a legend that says that if you gather all the extra pieces from all the sets, you can build the ultimate secret set that nobody knows about…

In the spirit of trying to cheer up and support each other, let's all share a memory we have from Toys'R'Us. It can be a good memory, a bad one, a funny one, anything. How many of you did work in a Toys'R'Us, for example? Or how often did you go there? Let's all have a conversation and try to think about something that is now gone, and that we are missing.
I'll go first: I worked at a Toys'R'Us as a part time job during the Christmas season, over a decade ago. I started in the late afternoon, and stayed after hours until after 10pm to re-fill all the shelves that had been emptied out during the day, so that the parents...I mean... Santa Claus could come and pick up the toys for all the children. On December, 24th, which is Christmas Eve, a woman with a cart full of toys came to me and asked if we had the most popular toy from that year, which had been sold out everywhere for weeks (it was a known fact). I explained to her that we didn't have any, but that we would get some after Christmas. She then proceeded to yell at me, telling me that I just had personnaly ruined her child's Christmas, and it was my fault if the kid didn't get that toy. It was not her fault for being a crappy parent and doing all the Christmas shopping at the very last minute, no! It was my fault. To this day, it still haunts me.

It is no secret that today's economy is in shambles, and it is a common known fact that Lego brick sets are generally quite expensive. Several economy experts gathered last week to decide what would be the future of the economy, and they may have found an answer: the Lego brick!
Founded in 1932 in Billung, Denmark, Lego didn't start making the classic Lego bricks until 1949, and has been a staple in the toy industry ever since. Millions of children have played with Lego brick sets, and a lot of them still do as adults, as there are countless adult Lego collectors worldwide. One thing that has become an issue over the years is the ever-increasing prices of the Lego sets. One of the latest sets, the Lego Haunted House (10273) came out earlier this month, for $249,99. Some bigger sets, such as the Star Wars Death Star go for over $499, while sets like the (huge) Millenium Falcon go for $799. Some older sets can now be found for thousands of dollars.
With the economy in a really bad condition, having the Lego brick as a "gold standard" could help, strengthen the economy and turn things around. It is a great day for Lego collectors all around the world! After announcing the new Lego Dots earlier this year, Lego has announced that they are going to start a new venture: Lego Foods! ToyFarce News has got the exclusive scoop for you:The new sets will feature the first edible bricks and pieces, which will allow kids and adults alike to assemble their food before eating it ! The first set will be a ham sandwich, as seen on the picture. All the pieces will have the patented Lego studs, for easy assembly, and once your sandwich is ready, you can go ahead and take a bite! It will have an authentic ham sandwich flavor! A rye bread edition will also be available for the nordic countries, as well as a gluten-free edition, which will come out later.
If the first set is a success, Lego is planning to release more of those, and ToyFarce News has uncovered the line-up for you! There will be a Peanut butter & Jelly sandwich, a cheeseburger, several different breakfast options (bacon and eggs, pancakes to assemble and stack,...), as well as country-specific sets, such as sushis for Japan, tacos for South America, pizzas for Italy, or a potato for Russia!
Lego fans wordlwide will finally be able to live Lego, breathe Lego and eat Lego...literraly! No release date has been communicated at this time.
