With the latest announcement from McFarlane Toys that the DC Multiverse line will have "Platinum Edition" chase figures (Arkham Asylum Joker being already available in the wild, with Arkham Asylum Batman and Arkham Origins Deathstroke having already been teased), collectors worldwide have been excited about going for toy hunts again!
Those Platinum Edition figures are limited to 3000 worldwide, which, to be honest, is a lot, considering the average production for normal version of the figure is probably around 5000 worldwide anyway, (on average). But if you fear that you will never be able to find it, ToyFarce has a simple yet efficient trick for you!
Just go to your local hardware store and buy some bronze color spray paint can, do a couple of layers on your normal figure, and voila! You have the Platinum Edition variant! Coincidentally, those have been sold out for a few weeks at our local hardware store, but it might have nothing to do with the McFarlane Toys figures...
PS: Please use this trick for your own collection. If you are planning on doing this to resell it, just don't.

Another week, another review from ToyFarce, with the arrival of NECA's Super Shredder figure, which is a glorious piece of action figure.
ToyFarce managed to secure one when it first came out for pre-order on NECA's website and had been waiting ever since for it to arrive. Here's a look at the art-box, which kinda looks like a VHS tape:
A quick reminder for those who don't remember, you get a Super Shredder by mixing a normal Shredder with mutagen:

The details on the Super Shredder are amazing, you can nearly recognize 'Big Sexy' Kevin Nash's eyes through the helmet!

A collector in Michigan reported that, after trying to make his vintage Hulk Hogan action figure talk in order to show it to a friend, the figure's battery must have leaked or some connection must have gotten faulty with time, because the figure kept just repeating "BROTHER" in an infinite loop.
"To my surprise, the figure is actually even better now. Having him say "BROTHER" in a constant loop makes it even more accurate and i'm so glad to have him in my collection. It's now my most prized possession. It's the closest to the real thing!" said the collector.

The toy collectors community has been shaken to its core this week, after hearing about some loser in Ohio that was caught on camera stealing a bunch of action figures in a Walmart, and even assaulting a Walmart employee. That is right, this man assaulted a fellow human being for a bunch of toys.
The first reports said that the man was stealing some of the new G.I.Joe Classified figures, which collectors have been searching for for weeks, while scalpers/resellers were selling them at a higher price.
ToyFarce News hired a team of elite experts to analyze the pictures and videos and the results are in: The Walmart thief from Ohio did not steal the latest G.I.Joe Classified figures, as he intended to, but he actually stole a bunch of notorious peg-warmer Star Wars Black Series Constable Zuvio action figures !
That figure is well know in the toy community as a peg-warmer, a completely unsellable figure, a character that no one cared about, that even the most completist of collectors passed on. Some say there are still stores on our planet that have a unlimited stock of them, kindly warming pegs in their store's toy aisle.
ToyFarce News hopes that the man gets caught, but at the same time, we hope that his loot does not end up back in the store, because they have already restocked the shelves with more Constable Zuvio figures.

It has been reported more and more lately that Amazon has started sending people their order without a cardboard shipping box, basically just slapping the stickers directly on the items. Here are some pictures collected in various forums/Facebook groups (viewer discretion is advised, those pictures could shock you):
We know this is very hard to see, but please, be very careful the next time you order something on Amazon, as there is an extra step in case you want them to add an actual shipping box around your order. Look for something likes this:
Now, ToyFarce News has received even more disturbing informations, as collectors that ordered action figures on Amazon saw themselves receive their coveted action figures...loose. Without even their own packaging, the shipping sticker was attached directly on the figure. Here are some disturbing photos collected over the internet:
James from Michigan ordered the new MAFEX Batman Hush figure, and this is how he found it in his mailbox.
The sticker was applied directly on the cape.
