TOYFARCE TURNS 1 YEAR OLD! HERE IS A TOP 10 OF YEAR 1
Well, as implied by the title, ToyFarce is now 1 year old. On November 22nd, 2019, the first crappy photo-edit was made and published in a few facebook groups, along with a short “news article” text, and the rest is history. Thanks a million for the support over this year.
We tried to make a Top 10 list of the ‘best’ articles of this year, but it turned out to be more difficult than it sounded, as we love all of the posts equally! Ok, some definitely got better reactions than others, and we noticed that it’s always the ones that we expect the less to have a big reaction that gets them, so we’re still learning! Now, let’s make year 2 funnier than year 1!
10. HOT TOYS USING UNSOLD BOBA FETT TO MAKE THE MANDALORIAN FIGURES?!
The very first post, the one that started it all. After getting a lot of engagement on that one, we released one post a week, then 2 posts a week,… which led to today’s format : a new article on mondays and fridays, and a review on wednesdays.

9. FUNKO POP SOON RUNNING OUT OF IDEAS, WILL START MAKING OWN EMPLOYEES POP FIGURES!
Weirdly enough, this has been the only post about Funko Pops, while there is definitely room for more! More Funko news in year 2!

7. FIGURE SWAPPERS NOT EVEN TRYING ANYMORE!
Gathering a lot of pictures from figure swaps was hilarious. Some of them may be staged, but we all had a good laugh with them anyway.

6. SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON CANCELLED - SCALPING INDUSTRY TO TAKE HUGE FINANCIAL HIT!
One of the first posts to talk about scalpers, which would become a regular thing later on. In hindsight, it turns out they still found a way to profit from it after all…

5. "TIME AND ENERGY", A NEW TAX FROM SCALPERS?!
Another one about scalpers. I included this one because it got the most reactions, a lot of arguments/fights between collectors and scalpers in the comments in various facebook groups, some trying to defend/justify, etc... It was pretty wild!

4. NECA’S NEXT GREMLINS SET REVEALED: GRETA’S WEDDING!
This one is special because we ordered a Cameo from Robert Picardo, not expecting any answer, and not only did Robert Picardo answer, but he delivered a brilliant, funny, amazing video that I hope more people will see. If this Cameo thing delivers like that, expect more in the future!

3. A FOURTH MORTAL KOMBAT SPAWN FIGURE VARIANT, WITH TRUMPET?!
After several different Spawn figures announced with a different weapon, we thought about what would be the ultimate accessory: a trumpet. This led to a string of several running gags, and trumpets were added in several other posts (Hasbrolab’s Sentinel and Mandalorian’s Razor Crest, …). We even released a follow-up review of the figure later on.

2. AFTER THE SUCCESS OF THE TARGET EXCLUSIVE RED HULK, MARVEL LEGENDS TO RELEASE MORE COLORED HULKS!!
This was one of the early hits, right when the Red Hulk hype was at its highest, with tons of people actually asking if it was real, and where to pre-order. Good times!

1. STAR WARS - THE "OPENING CRAWL" FINALLY GETTING A BLACK SERIES FIGURE!
Our personal favorite. It also got a lot of reactions, and a ton of people said they would actually buy this if it ever came out (we totally would too).
