This weekend, the New York Comic Con took place in Manhattan’s Javits Center, and who says NYCC, says NYCC exclusives! As usual, the reselling community and members of the S.C.A.L.P. found a way to get everyone’s most coveted items, using tricks and deception, so that they can resell them on eBay! ToyFarce interviewed Jerry, who went to NYCC all weekend long to try to score some of those exclusives.

One of NYCC’s most coveted items this year was none other than the *inhales* NYCC 2021 S.H. Figuarts Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Son Goku Kaio-Ken - Event Exclusive Color Edition!

“Those exclusives are getting trickier to get every year”, said Jerry. “This year, you had to reserve it, and you could only get 1 by person. But as usual, they underestimated the ingenuity of the S.C.A.L.P. I came prepared!”.

Jerry managed to get 3 of those items that were limited to 1 per person, using clever and undetectable disguise.

“On the second day, they were onto me, so I called my aunt Lucy, and she came with my 2 nephews, so that we could get a couple more. The problem is, one of those kids actually like that toy and want to keep it. I’m gonna have to bribe him, and trade it with another exclusivetoy that I got from last year that I still haven’t sold on eBay”. Tough luck, Jerry…

“We may never recover financially from this!” said an anonymous scalper (sporting a blond mullet and a t-shirt with a tiger on it).

The S.C.A.L.P. industry held an emergency meeting this week after suffering devastating blows the entire month. They had an international conference call to try to figure out what their next move should be.

“I hereby declare July 2021 was “Anti-Scalper month” for the history books. Companies have been decimating our ebay prices!”

“Between NECA releasing their exclusive sets on their own website, Target re-issueing all the G.I.Joe Classified Series figures for everyone to order, and now people are making fun of us by LITTERALY scalping Space Jam 2 Lebron James figures, and selling their heads on ebay… we are a joke, now! I heard a Japanese magazine even fired a guy who tweeted about his support for us!” (See previous article: https://www.toyfarce.com/news/hobby-japan-blues-a-tale-of-consequences ). “This can’t go on! We need to find a way to continue making a living out of buying the things that people want and selling them at a higher price!”
