Another wednesday, another review, this time with the long overdue Ultime Flasher Gremlin from NECA.

NECA’S ULTIMATE FLASHER GREMLIN + FLASHER COMPETITION!
Another wednesday, another review, this time with the long overdue Ultime Flasher Gremlin from NECA. I had already teased that the Ultimate Flasher Raphael from the NECA two-pack with Casey Jones had some competition, so I got my hands on that competition, and there will be a flasher competition (a flash-off?) to determine who is the Ultimate Flasher!
Finally, a worthy opponent…
The Gremlins line from NECA has always been great, and the gremlins are very detailed. They look like they were taken right out of the movie. They do suffer from a bit of quality control issue (the head kept popping off when I was taking pictures), but nothing unfixable. The art box (I guess we can call them art boxes) has great pictures, which is expected from NECA. Here are some packaging shots:

The Ultimate Flasher Gremlin comes with a ton of accessories, all related to the bar scene from the movie: Poker visor, poker cards and poker chips, a pint of beer, a puppet, a mallet, some lit cigarettes, sunglasses a fedora, a bowtie, a removable trenchcoat and interchangeable hands.
If you remove the trenchcoat and accessories, you get a very decent Gremlin, with a lot of articulations. Even his jaw is articulated!

Ultimate Flasher Raphael seems to be getting impatient, so it is now time for the Flasher Competition. Who will be the Ultimate Flasher? There can be only one!
The Ultimate Flasher Competition’s jury will be members of the trenchcoat afficionados club. Some of them may or may not have been Ultimate Flasher Competition winners in the past, but we will not get too deep into that.
First contestant, the Gremlin…
Now for Raphael’s turn…
Wait a minute! It seems the Gremlin is highjacking Raphael’s turn! That can’t be legal!
The jury seems to enjoy it! If they continue, they might both get disqualified, though!
They are now flashing each other off!
NO! They have now turned their attention to our cameras! Cover your eyes, people!
This will definitely make the cover of the newspapers tomorrow…
We are left without a winner, but they seem to be fine with sharing the title of Ultimate Flasher. We will inform you on the decision of the jury when they have recovered.

Here comes the crossover you never knew you wanted! Playmates has announced a new wave of Ninja Turtles that would see themselves mixed with the cast of the hit TV series: The Big Bang Theory!
Each turtle represents one of the main characters from the show:
Leonard-o is Leonardo as Leonard, Sheldonatello is Donatello as Sheldon, Rajael is Raphael as Raj, and Howardangelo is Michaelangelo as Howard. At 6 inch scale, they are great figures, with good articulations and should come with numerous accessories (physics books, laptops, a whiteboard with equations on it,...).
Fun fact: Chuck Lorre, the creator of the TV show 'The Big Bang Theory' actually co-wrote the original 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme song, so this crossover is not as farfetched as one would think!
The TBBTTMNT line should come out during the holidays 2020, and if it is successful, there might be more coming out later. Can you imagine a 'Penny O'neil', a' Casey Stuart' or even a 'Wil Wheaton Shredder'?
