BREAKING NEWS:

CELEBRATING THE 40th "STAR WARS - THE BLACK SERIES" BOBA FETT FIGURE !

Finally, Hasbro has announced their long awaited 40th version of the Black Series Boba Fett figure! Only the real collectors have bought all other 39 versions of that figure, which is pretty much  the same figure every single time with a different packaging or various repaints!

The 40th Boba Fett. Can you imagine that? They have managed to makes us buy the same Boba Fett figure 40 times! Crazy, isn't it? They even stamped the '40th' logo on the box, to show that is is the 40th. Do you remember the 100th Batman figure? Or the commemorative 300th Boba Fett figure from Hasbro, back in the days? ToyFarce remembers...

EDIT: After further inspection, it turns out it was the 40th Anniversary of the movie 'The Empire Strikes Back', and not the 40th Black Series Boba Fett... Our bad!

COVID-19 - AS LOCKDOWN ENDS, GROUPS OF 10 FIGURES ALLOWED TO BE DISPLAYED ON SAME SHELF

In case you missed it, there's been a global pandemic hitting earth over the last few months.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:

COVID-19 - AS LOCKDOWN ENDS, GROUPS OF 10 FIGURES ALLOWED TO BE DISPLAYED ON SAME SHELF

In case you missed it, there's been a global pandemic hitting earth over the last few months. The W.H.O. (World Health Organization, curiously unrelated to Doctor Who) has given instructions on how to avoid spreading the virus, for example, by washing your hands often, wearing a facemask and "social distancing" (which is pretty stupid, it should be 'physical distancing', you're still allowed to talk with other people, as phones, messenger, Skype or Zoom exist...).

So far, no rules have been given for action figure collections, so with the lockdown starting to end, ToyFarce News thought it would be time to dust up a few rules:

- Action figures can be displayed on the same shelf as long as they are not more than 10.
Groups of more than 10 figures are not yet allowed, and there should be a distance of at least 1ft (30cm) for 1:6th scale figures, and 0,5ft (15cm) for 1:12th scale figure (to be proportionate with the 6ft (2m) distance for people).

- Your figures should wear a facemask to be sure not to spread the virus.
Even if the mask does not agree with your style, remember that it is important to wear one. We know that Batman figures are generally unhappy, considering the mask covers the only part of their body that is exposed, but if everybody wears one, your collection will remain safe.

- For the figures already wearing a mask or a helmet (Darth Vader, stormtroopers, mandalorians, predator,...), make sure that the proper filters are used  for them. We do not know how the virus would react with organism from other planets, so better safe than sorry. If anybody has any idea how the mask go on a Xenomorph, please let us know in the comments.

- Vintage figures (from the early 80's or before) are in the highest risk group and should wear a mask at all times. The ones that are still MISB (or mint in sealed box) should be safe, but any loose figures will need to be protected.

ToyFarce News hopes that everybody is safe and healthy, and doing their part. We know it's not a laughing matter, but if this article can brighten the day of at least a few people, we will consider it a win. Stay safe, and let us know if you have more ideas ideas on how to protect your collection!

HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF - BOBA FETT MYTHOS DELAYED BECAUSE OF EYE INJURY

A factory worker, who was handling the prototype of the figure suffered an injury to his eye from the figure's rocket firing jet pack, in a similar incident that happened with the original 1979 Kenner figure, which was never released.

BREAKING NEWS:

HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF - BOBA FETT MYTHOS DELAYED BECAUSE OF EYE INJURY.

The long-awaited Boba Fett Mythos figure, by Sideshow Collectibles, announced in July 2018, seems to have been postponed yet again. The bounty Hunter figure was first set to be released in Summer 2019.
Our team of reporters has managed to uncover the reason behind this delay: A factory worker, who was handling the prototype of the figure suffered an injury to his eye from the figure's rocket firing jet pack, in a similar incident that happened with the original 1979 Kenner figure, which was never released.
Coincidentally, the factor employee, Michael M., is actually the brother of the person who had the eye injury back in 1979, as a child. "I think we will stay away from anything related to Boba Fett from now on", said Michael. "I mean, 40 years later, who would have thought? Well, at least, now we'll have matching eye patches with my brother...", he added.
The figure will be redesigned in order to not allow the rocket to be launched.
