It’s Wednesday, you know what that means… ToyFarce reviews!
This week, we’re having a look at the origina action figure, the one that (probably) started it all, the wooden freaking mannequin! According to wikipedia, the first mannequins (life size ones, 1:1) date all the way back to 1350 BC. There is no exact time for when the first 1:6 versions started to be used (some say 1850, others say before), so it is safe to say that those mannequins were the first original action figures, complete with articulations and all!
I found this one in IKEA (the land of the Detolf), where the store actually had a few of those displayed inside our coveted glass cabinets… THEY’RE ONTO US, GUYS!

The Wooden Mannequin has decent articulations, with ball joints pretty much every where. Today’s reviewers would crap on it due to the lack of double elbows, double knees, thigh swivels, ankle pivot,…

The Wooden Mannequin even comes with a stand, just like the Hot Toys figures! That’s how you know it’s premium: It has a stand.
