TOYFARCE REVIEWS:

HOT TOYS THE MANDALORIAN & THE CHILD (DELUXE VERSION)!

It’s wednesday, you know what that means… ToyFarce reviews!

This week, we’re reviewing the Deluxe version of The Mandalorian & The Child from Hot Toys. Yep. The figure was ordered on KGHobby as soon as it was announced, and arrived last week. As expected, it is a gorgeous piece! What it is lacking in articulations and poseability (the suit gets in the way a lot), it makes up for it with how amazing it looks. Two Grogu/Baby Yoda (yes, two!), tons of great accessories and possibilities, , it’s a very, very nice set!

“Nice armor!”

Art box (sorry, I didn’t take a picture of the brown shipper box. It was beautiful, though!)

Inner sleeve

2 levels of awesomeness

(Some ‘collectors’ actually leave those wrapping plastic around the figure and display them like that. LOL!)

The classic “Museum pose”, a favorite of Hot Toys collectors (supposedly to avoid damaging the suit, which makes the whole process of buying a $250+ figure with real clothes absolutely pointless)

“The child coos”

The stand is the same as the previous Mandalorian figure, but comes with an additional part in which you can “plant” the tube that holds the pram in the air. Yes, it’s a transparent tube. Hot Toys still didn’t come up with the technology to have it hovering over the ground… SMH!

Closed pram…

Open pram!

“COO!”

“Pull my finger, kid…”

“Wherever I go, he goes.”

The Mandalorian theme intensifies!

Among the accessories, you can find a tracking fob. Now, how do these things work? Seriously? We’ve seen them in the shows. The characters just look at it and can tell “He’s 200ft northwest from here.” while there is only one blinking red dot. I WANT TO KNOW.

Mando also comes with 3 different attachements for his vambrace (had to google that one), of the whistling birds:

Closed

Loaded…

And FIRE!!

Talking about fire, he also comes with a flame thrower attachment for his other vambrace (yeah, i’ll use it a lot now).

“Anybody wants to grill something?”

2 different ‘earpieces’ included, closed one, and with his night light out, so that he can read books in the dark.

A great addition to the Deluxe version was the Camtono (or ice cream maker from the 70’s). It’s highly detailed and opens up like in the show, with a few beskar ingot inside.

Other “Deluxe version” exclusive accessories are a wired grappling hook, hologram Mando, and the shoulder piece with his Mudhorn symbol

BADASS

The jetpack can be attached thanks to magnets (how do they work?). It comes with 2 fire effects, so you can get your Mando airborne!

Finally, the necklace for Grogu is the perfect last addition to that amazing set.

“It’s called fashion. Look it up.”

“You’re… smaller.”

I’m gonna tell my kid this was Daft Punk.

It was very fun to take those pics and get to play with each accessories, rather than just get it out of the box, put it in one position and toss it in a Detolf forever. I will definitely do that again! Now, I just have to pick a badass pose!
