#ReleaseTheCancelledToys TRENDING WORLDWIDE AFTER SUCCESS OF #ReleaseTheSnyderCut !!

The success of the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut hashtag has inspired many collectors to create their own causes, and here are a few of those to get behind

BREAKING NEWS:

#ReleaseTheCancelledToys TRENDING WORLDWIDE AFTER SUCCESS OF #ReleaseTheSnyderCut !!

2020 has been a really crazy year so far... We nearly had a WW3, Australia caught fire, there was a global pandemic with the Covid-19, murder hornets are invading America, and now, after years of constant harassment, Warner Bros will release the Snyder Cut, the original edit of the Justice League movie by Zack Snyder, which is supposedly going to make the film better.

The success of the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut hashtag has inspired many collectors to create their own causes, and here are a few of those to get behind:

To NECA: #ReleaseTheMissingGremlins

Those figures were shown at the San Diego Comic Con 2013 and were never released. The illusive Series 3 would have included a WB logo gremlin, a molten gremlin, the gremlin leader, Mohawk, with an Uzi, and the fan favorite Greta, the fan favorite female gremlin.

To DC Collectibles: #ReleaseTheJokerMobile

The vehicle was shown at various comic conventions and announced before being cancelled completely, without an explanation. DC Collectibles would move on to cancel several lines after that, including the DC Icons line, before releasing all the figures announced, the DC Designer Series Lee Bermejo Green Lantern and Lex Luthor figures, the DC Designer series Bombshell line series 3 and Joker/Harley Quinn 2-pack (which would later be announced as single figures, before being cancelled a second time), the Lucha Explosiva figures, and most importantly...

#ReleaseTheDCFilmsFigures

A figure line for the DC Films was announced, and many figures were displayed at various comic cons. 2 action figures were actually released (BVS Superman and Armored Batman) before DC Collectibles called it a day and cancelled the rest of the line, all at once. Now that the Snyder Cut is going to be released, it might be time to ask for those again!

To Hot Toys: #ReleaseEverythingGoddammit

Hot Toys, the notorious high-end figure manufacturer from Hong Kong, is famous for showing prototypes of figures that they never plan to release. On the picture above are a few of the many figures that were never released. Plenty of figures from various movies, for example:

#ReleaseTheLoneRanger

The Lone Ranger figure was never released, while his sidekick, Tonto, played by Johnny Depp came out years ago. This means that every collectors and fans of the Lone Ranger movie (and there are dozens of them!) now have a lonely Tonto displayed on their shelf, with no Lone Ranger to hang out with.

#ReleaseTheBatmobiles

The Batmobile from the 1966 series (along with the Cesar Romero Joker figure) were announced in 2014, and were never released, to the chagrin of every Batman collectors worldwide. The Batmobile from Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice was also announced, before being replaced by the slightly upgraded Justice League version, before both projets were completely forgotten by the Hong Kong toymaker. And it was not the only vehicle/playset that would never see the light of day...

#ReleaseTheMilleniumFalconCockpit

What is the point of making a prototype, displaying it in many conventions, and even making promo pictures of a vehicle/playset, when you have zero plan on ever releasing it, you might ask? Well, you're asking the wrong person. We got nothing. This set would have sold like hot cakes, but Hot Toys decided they didn't like money that day, probably.

And last, but not least, and even related to the Snyder Cut...

#ReleaseCyborg
(formerly #WhereIsCyborg)

Hot Toys has shown the prototypes of all the Justice League characters before the movie came out, and then proceeded to release all of them (taking their sweet time for some, as the JL Superman figure came out only a few months ago). All of them, except one. Cyborg was never released. Collectors can have the entire Justice League on their shelf, with Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Flash...but the set will never be complete, as Cyborg will always be missing. Let's hope the release of the Snyder Cut makes Hot Toys realize that they forgot one of the members of the Justice League!

What would you like to see #Released ? Is there any cancellation that hurt you more than others? Let us know in the comments!

COVID-19 - AS LOCKDOWN ENDS, GROUPS OF 10 FIGURES ALLOWED TO BE DISPLAYED ON SAME SHELF

In case you missed it, there's been a global pandemic hitting earth over the last few months.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:

COVID-19 - AS LOCKDOWN ENDS, GROUPS OF 10 FIGURES ALLOWED TO BE DISPLAYED ON SAME SHELF

In case you missed it, there's been a global pandemic hitting earth over the last few months. The W.H.O. (World Health Organization, curiously unrelated to Doctor Who) has given instructions on how to avoid spreading the virus, for example, by washing your hands often, wearing a facemask and "social distancing" (which is pretty stupid, it should be 'physical distancing', you're still allowed to talk with other people, as phones, messenger, Skype or Zoom exist...).

So far, no rules have been given for action figure collections, so with the lockdown starting to end, ToyFarce News thought it would be time to dust up a few rules:

- Action figures can be displayed on the same shelf as long as they are not more than 10.
Groups of more than 10 figures are not yet allowed, and there should be a distance of at least 1ft (30cm) for 1:6th scale figures, and 0,5ft (15cm) for 1:12th scale figure (to be proportionate with the 6ft (2m) distance for people).

- Your figures should wear a facemask to be sure not to spread the virus.
Even if the mask does not agree with your style, remember that it is important to wear one. We know that Batman figures are generally unhappy, considering the mask covers the only part of their body that is exposed, but if everybody wears one, your collection will remain safe.

- For the figures already wearing a mask or a helmet (Darth Vader, stormtroopers, mandalorians, predator,...), make sure that the proper filters are used  for them. We do not know how the virus would react with organism from other planets, so better safe than sorry. If anybody has any idea how the mask go on a Xenomorph, please let us know in the comments.

- Vintage figures (from the early 80's or before) are in the highest risk group and should wear a mask at all times. The ones that are still MISB (or mint in sealed box) should be safe, but any loose figures will need to be protected.

ToyFarce News hopes that everybody is safe and healthy, and doing their part. We know it's not a laughing matter, but if this article can brighten the day of at least a few people, we will consider it a win. Stay safe, and let us know if you have more ideas ideas on how to protect your collection!

MORE REPAINTS? DC DIRECT TO COLOR BATMAN B&W STATUES!!

A lot of fans and collectors have expressed their discontent about the announcements from DC Direct (formerly known as DC Collectibles) for the year 2020.

BREAKING NEWS:

MORE REPAINTS? DC DIRECT TO COLOR BATMAN B&W STATUES!!

A lot of fans and collectors have expressed their discontent about the announcements from DC Direct (formerly known as DC Collectibles) for the year 2020. A lot of the new action figures announced seemed to be repainted versions previously released ones. ToyFarce News contacted an anonymous insider source to understand more about it, and learn about what the future holds for DC Direct:

ABOUT THE UPCOMING DC ESSENTIALS FIGURES:
"Oh yes, most of the upcoming DC Essentials series are essentially (no pun intended...maybe) repaints, with the next wave having the previously released Batman with a black cowl instead of blue, Superman painted in black instead of the red and blue and with no cape, a transparent Flash instead of painting it, and Nightwing painted red instead of blue. The 3 waves coming after that will be the DCeased Zombie figures, and it will be once again, the previously released DC Essentials figures, but with some blood painted on them, and a different head with the mouth open. Then, we'll release a Justice League set, with 6 of those older DC Essentials figures, but with metallic paint!"

ABOUT THE BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES LINE:
"The upcoming Animated Series figures, "The Adventure Continues" will actually have only a few brand new figures, with half of each wave being older figures, with "shading effects" added to the paint. So we are basically only producing 6 or 8 new figures this year. The rest is all repaints. We are even re-releasing the Holiday Joker with a metallic paint, people will go nuts about it!"

ABOUT FUTURE PLANS:
"Do you remember the DC Artist Alley Uminga Batman statue, that we released in dozens of different colors? Be ready for more of that. Here is a list of upcoming lines:

BATMAN - BLACK & WHITE : RECOLORED STATUE LINE - We have just reached the 100th Batman Black and White statue, with the Todd McFarlane one. The plan for the future is to release all of those again, but this time, in color. We also have plans for a 'Black & White & Yellow' line, with only the bat logo and belt colored in yellow. We might also do variants with metallic paint down the line...

BATMAN - BLACK & WHITE ACTION FIGURES - We have already done series 1, where we recycled the First Appearance figure, the Hush figure and the Designer Series Capullo figure, so why stop there? There are dozens of Batman action figures that we could recycle in black and white. We'll start with the New 52 one (which was repainted 4-5 times already), then the DC Icons ones, the Animated series, etc... Would metallic black and white paint look good on those too? We will find out!

BATMAN - THE ANIMATED SERIES - BLACK & WHITE - We might as well also reissue a few of the Animated series figures in black and white, because why not? Some people might have watched the show on a faulty television set and seen these characters in black and white anyway.

We will also probably announce a few completely new lines, like the "DC Films" or the "Lucha Explosiva" ones that we teased a few years back, but with no intention whatsoever of ever releasing them. We'll just let the anticipation build a little, and then cancel the whole thing, add a new coat of paint on older Batman figures and then release those instead. We have been doing that with the comic books for years: When our current stories are not great, we just release a new trade paperback version of an old story. How many "Batman: Hush" versions are there now?"

It seems like recycling and metallic paint are going to be very present in the future plans of DC Direct! ToyFarce News hopes that the fans and collectors will find something to hold onto in those announcements, or maybe find some comfort in the McFarlane Toys DC Universe line.
One thing is for sure, we will get more Batman!

MARVEL LEGENDS TO ANNOUNCE LIFE-SIZE GALACTUS ?!

An insider source has told ToyFarce News that the next item in the line would be none other than the Devourer of Worlds, Galactus, in all it's 1:1 scale glory!

BREAKING NEWS:

MARVEL LEGENDS TO ANNOUNCE LIFE-SIZE GALACTUS ?!

Every toy collector is familiar with Hasbro's Marvel Legends line. The Marvel Legends line started in 2002, originally produced by Toy Biz, and later by Hasbro. There is a ton of Marvel Comics or Marvel Cinematic Universe characters that were released, and it seems that there is no end to it just yet. The Marvel Legends line also introduced the Build-a-Figure concept (or BAF, for the collectors), which was a genius marketing stunt, because it made people buy the C-list characters that would have stayed as peg-warmers in the shops if not for the left arm part of the BAF character that people really want! It made people buy characters such as Jack O'Lantern, Paladin, or Beetle!

Recently, Marvel Legends started a replica line, starting with a very decent Iron Man helmet, followed by Thor's Mjolnir, Captain America's shield, Star Lord's helmet, Ant Man's helmet, Black Panther's helmet and the Infinity Gauntlet from Avengers: Infinity War, followed by the Iron Gauntlet from Avengers: Endgame. They have also extended the line to the Star Wars universe, with a series of screen accurate helmet replicas. The Marvel line was very well received and Hasbro has been planning to make more life-size replicas, and the next one is going to be... earth-shattering!

An insider source has told ToyFarce News that the next item in the line would be none other than the Devourer of Worlds, Galactus, in all it's 1:1 scale glory! The figure should measure approximatively 395 000 km (~245,450 mi), should be very accurate and look great in any collection, just like the other replicas from that line. The Galactus replica will have a light up feature in its eyes and parts of its armor, but we haven't been told yet what source of power will be needed for it (a couple of tons of enriched uranium should do the trick, though). There is no date announced yet for the release, the figure was supposed to be announced as the San Diego Comic Con which has been cancelled, but the prototype can still be seen by those with very large telescopes.

We, at ToyFarce News, hope that the Life-size Galactus replica is a success, so that other franchises can start to see bigger too! Just imagine... Life-size Megatron? Life-size Megazord? The possibilities are endless!

WHICH COLLECTOR FACTION DO YOU BELONG IN?

ToyFarce News loves all kinds of toy collectors, but toy collectors themselves definitely do NOT love all kinds of toy collectors.

FEATURED ARTICLE:

WHICH COLLECTOR FACTION DO YOU BELONG IN?

ToyFarce News loves all kinds of toy collectors, but toy collectors themselves definitely do NOT love all kinds of toy collectors. There has been several occurences of arguments or fights, whether in the Facebook, Youtube, Instagram or Twitter comment threads. Some collectors will tell others how they should display or handle their collection, even if they are not the ones who paid for it and are not part of those other person's lives.
In the last decade, collectors have been able to witness the formation of different factions, and chose which side they are on. ToyFarce news will now review the 4 major factions from the toy collectors world:

THE CARD FOUNDATION:

The Card Foundation (or Mint on Card Foundation) is for the collectors that keep all their figure mint on card, generally displayed on a wall, which is covered from floor to ceiling. The Card Foundation consider themselves the best collectors there is, the best collectors there was, and the best collectors there ever will be. Keeping an entire wall of blister cards, without ever thinking of opening them, requires a lot of discipline and mental strength, and that is what is needed to join the Card Foundation.

D-GENERATION SHELF:

The D-Generation Shelf (or D-SHELF) is a faction for the collectors that display everything that they own on shelves, whether those are wall shelves, floating shelves, book shelves (like on a BILLY bookshelf from Ikea),... They generally favor displaying their figures loose, but can also have a few blister cards or larger boxes displayed behind the loose figures. They are not worried about having to dust their collection every now and then. Sometimes, a figure would fall and cause a domino effect, leading to some of the figures to take a dive from the shelf towards the floor, but that's just one of the things that happens if you're D-SHELF. And if you're not down with that, they've got 2 words for ya... DUST IT!

THE NEW BOX ORDER:

The New Box Orded (or nBo) is a special kind of collectors. You might have seen collectors ask sellers 'Does it come with the shipping box?', especially in one sixth scale figure collectors groups. Those collectors will buy an expensive, high-end figure and will never a single time put their eyes on them. The visuals of the box is enough for them. Even better: the quality of the cardboard from the shipping boxes. They will go out of their way to find sellers that will 'double box' their figures, to make sure that the shipping box is in pristine condition. nBo members have pictures from their collection stored in a temperature controlled storage units, and will tell you that when you're nBo, you're nBo for life, BROTHER!

THE DETOLF CLUB:

The Detolf Club is a club of collectors who love to display their collection in glass cabinets (usually Detolf from Ikea, but it could be any other brand). They are not scared of opening their figures and display them in dynamic positions in their cabinets (which another faction, the Museum Posers absolutely hates). True Detolf Club member will also have lights in their cabinets, and some will also have backgrounds or dioramas, to compliment their collections even more. For a Detolf Club member, it is a pleasure to just sit in front of their glass cabinets after a long day, and just admire their collection, taking it all in. There is something about it that is just too sweet...

Of course, there are tons of other factions, like the Briq (lego collectors), the Nation of Customization (who love to repaint/resculpt/kitbash/...), the L.O.O.S.E. squad (who will always open their figures and #LetEmBreathe), the SCALP (a faction of villains who will empty the toy aisle from their stores to sell everything at a higher price), the Youtuberockers (who buy every single toy that come out for review, but you can clearly see that the passion is long gone), and many, many more...

ToyFarce News would like to know about you: Which faction do you belong in?

STAR WARS DAY - HOT TOYS ANNOUNCES "JEK PORKINS" COLLECTIBLE FIGURE !

ToyFarce News wishes all of you a happy Star Wars day!

BREAKING NEWS:

STAR WARS DAY - HOT TOYS ANNOUNCES "JEK PORKINS" COLLECTIBLE FIGURE !

First of all, ToyFarce News wishes all of you a happy Star Wars day! Everybody knows that today is Star Wars day, thanks to the "May the 4th be with you" motto, but did you know that there is also reason to celebrate on the following day, as it is "Revenge of the Fifth"? It has been a fantastic day for all Star Wars fans across the galaxy, with tons of new announcements from Hasbro, with new 'The Black Series' figures such as Luke with Yoda 2-pack, 4-LOM and Zuckuss, a Han Solo in Carbonite figure, and a 'Carbonized' Darth Vader (which is a new thing for Hasbro, where they paint the figures in disgusting metallic colors, and manage to sell them again!), a Boba Fett Prototype Replica Helmet (read: unpainted), and of course, a Baby Yoda-themed Monopoly board game (we are not even kidding on that one...).

The Hong Kong brand Hot Toys also surprised the fans with new announcements, including a re-issue of their "Empire Strikes Back - Darth Vader", but in a packaging similar to the vintage Kenner figures. Also, a repainted Boba Fett figure, sporting the not-so screen accurate colors of the vintage Kenner figure, will be joining Vader in that 'vintage packaging' line. Finally, Hot Toys teased all the fans with a picture teasing Captain Rex, the clone trooper from the animated series 'The Clone Wars', promising that they would release figures from that show very soon as well! ('very soon' has a different meaning in Hong Kong.)

However, it was not the last surprise for that day! ToyFarce News got the exclusive scoop that another figure would be announced for the Hot Toys 1/6th scale collectible figures line, and it is an epic, all-time fan favorite character! Hot Toys will soon announce... everyone's favorite plus-size X-Wing pilot Jek Porkins!! The Episode IV star nearly stole the spotlight from Luke Skywalker during the Death Star battle, and quickly gathered a huge fan-base. The figure will come with a brand new 'chunky' body (most likely a re-use of the Endgame Thor figure, which will now finally allow Hot Toys to make more overweight characters), a screen accurate headsculpt as well as Porkins' signature helmet, a blaster, a Triple-Cheeseburger, a can of soda, and the exclusive edition will come with a recliner chair!

Be sure to be on the lookout for more announcements from Hot Toys during those 2 'Star Wars'-themed days, as ToyFarce News heard a rumor that there might be more coming very soon...including an exclusive figure that has been demanded by fans for over 20 years!! Youssa have any idea who?!

YOUNG ARTIST LANDS DREAM JOB AS LEAD TOY DESIGNER FOR NECA!

What started as a joke to make his fellow action figure collectors laugh ended up changing a person's life entirely.

FEATURED STORY:

YOUNG ARTIST LANDS DREAM JOB AS LEAD TOY DESIGNER FOR NECA!

What started as a joke to make his fellow action figure collectors laugh ended up changing a person's life entirely. This is the story of Daniel Pepall, who started making mash-ups of popular action figures just for fun, until one day, the American toy maker NECA flew an helicopter to his house with suicases full of money, and offered him his dream job.

ToyFarce News managed to get an exclusive interview with the next big thing in the world of toys and collectibles.

ToyFarce News:

Hi Daniel, and thank you so much for allowing us to chat with you. We understand you're pretty busy now. By the way, congratulations on the awesome job at NECA! You must be pretty excited!

Daniel:

Well, yeah! Some guy called Randy turned up at my door with a face mask on and said that he owned NECA. I thought he was going to file a legal case against me, as it's not often a helicopter pulls up outside your house, and he looked pretty angry, but that was just because I tried to shake his hand and he was practicing social distancing... He said he was a huge fan of my Work, he asked me if I would tidy up the design of the boxes of the new 'Turtles in time' line, as everyone thinks they suck. Then, he said he liked my fresh hip hop happening toy ideas and offered me a job with a pretty large wad of cash up front (I plan on spending it on neca Figures anyway, as I get a 5% staff discount on them now). So that was cool!

TFN:

Let's rewind a little if that is okay with you: How did you get started on those 'figure mash-ups'? Where did your inspiration come from?

Daniel:

NECA keep remoulding, rebranding and repainting old lines, so I thought it would be funny to come up with mash-up designs mocking the NECA way... though Randy said he only did that to make extra cash in order to buy up more franchises, and also because he and his team have become pretty one dimensional when it comes to ideas... His words, not mine!

TFN:

Now that you are taking over, what are your plans for NECA action figures in the future? Are there some wacky, fun ideas on the horizon, or should we expect them to still only rely on old Kenner designs? They haven't made the Flying Alien Queen or the Aliens Space Marine ATAX with Alien Disguise Gear yet...

Daniel:

I have been told that we have to continue with the Kenner line. However, he didn't say which Kenner line, and Star Wars was obviously the best line kenner ever did, so I think we will be doing a bit of Star Wars/Alien mash-up, and also a Predator/Star Wars mash-up line... We're also going to be releasing some figures from the classic movie 'Hook', starring Robin Williams...

TFN:

We would love to see a Dustin Hoffman 'Captain Hook' figure from NECA!!

Daniel:

Also, the 'Golden Girls' line was so successful that there is going to be a 'chick-flick' line, so you can expect figures from 'Pretty Woman', 'The Bodyguard', 'Coyote Ugly', 'Dangerous Minds', 'When Harry met Sally' and 'Bridget Jones', to name a few. Randy said he loves those films and feels those lines will sell well. Although, with me in there, I hope to be able to release some cool stuff that nobody has thought of going after the rights on, but I will keep those quiet for the time being...

TFN:

Final question, as we wouldn't want to take too much of your valuable time: Which one of your mash-ups was your favorite?

Daniel:

I think I would like to own the Teenage Mutant Ninja Gremlins figure, personally... I just love the Ninja Turtles and Gremlins!

TFN:

We personnally loved the Gremlien! Such a concept! "In space, no one can hear you scream GIZMO, CACA!". Brilliant!

ToyFarce News would like to thank Daniel for this interview and can't wait to see what figures will be announced next! You can find more of Daniel's work on the Facebook group: "neca N.e.c.a fan and social group".

ALIEN DAY - NECA "RAINBOW WARRIOR ALIENS 6-PACK" REVEAL DERAILED DUE TO MISSING TRUCK ?!

First of all, ToyFarce News want to wish everyone a (slightly delayed) happy Alien Day!

BREAKING NEWS:

ALIEN DAY - NECA "RAINBOW WARRIOR ALIENS 6-PACK" REVEAL DERAILED DUE TO MISSING TRUCK ?!

First of all, ToyFarce News want to wish everyone a (slightly delayed) happy Alien Day!

Alien Day is celebrated by fans worldwide every year on April, 26th (4/26), which refers to LV-426, one of the three moons orbiting Calpamos in the Zeta Reticuli system, the same moon on which the UNSCC Nostromo landed in 2122 (or 1979, for us). Every year, a ton of new merch is announced for Alien Day: new action figures, books, t-shirts,... for all fans of Xenomorphs (or Weyland-Yutani) around the world.

This year , though, it didn't go as planned for American toy manufacturer NECA, who was planning to reveal their brand new 'Rainbow Warrior Aliens 6-pack'. The truck, that was supposed to bring the prototypes to the reveal event that was going to be streamed online, allegedly disappeared after being redirected when it received a mysterious distress call, from an unknown location. It is standard protocol for NECA (and Weyland-Yutani) to respond to distress calls. The truck was later located in a dark cave underground, but the driver could not be found at time of writing.

The action figure prototypes had also vanished, but large amounts of goo were present on the driver seat and the back of the truck, while a large, life size, wide-open, (empty) Alien egg was found near the truck... The egg was not part of the list of deliveries, and NECA representatives seemed puzzled about the presence of said egg. However, they have stated that they want the driver to be found, and want to insure the return of the driver, for analysis. All other considerations are secondary at this time. We will keep you updated if we hear more.

The figures should be available on NECA's website under 'Special Pre-Order 937' very soon.

In the meantime, we hope you had a great Alien Day, rewatched the classic movies, dusted your Xenomorph figures, gave an offering to the Xenomorph Queen, and stayed home, like a facehugger inside its egg. The facehuggers are professionals when it comes to isolation and can teach us a thing or two about staying in during quarantine...

LIST OF STRETCH GOALS FOR KICKSTARTER SPAWN REVEALED !

Todd McFarlane, and his brand McFarlane Toys, have started a kickstarter in order to remaster the very first action figure of Spawn, which was released in 1995.

EXCLUSIVE NEWS:

LIST OF STRETCH GOALS FOR KICKSTARTER SPAWN REVEALED !

In case you haven't heard of it, Todd McFarlane, and his brand McFarlane Toys, have started a kickstarter in order to remaster the very first action figure of Spawn, which was released in 1995. It took less than a couple of hours for the goal of $100,000 to be obliterated, and it now sits around at $1,800,000, with still 2 weeks to go.

Every once in a while, when the Kickstarter reaches a new 'milestone', Todd McFarlane, the Toddfather himself makes videos to thank the people for participating, and announces new rewards, in the form of more content for the figures. At $1,000,000, Todd announced that everybody would get extra hands and the people who ordered the 3-pack would get all the headsculpts. At $1,200,000, he announced the rubber chains of the figures would be upgraded to steel chains. At $1,400,000, 3 different weapons would be added to the 3-pack. Also, every figures would get a second headsculpt, as a token of his gratitude. Finally, at $1,700,000, the 'Modern Spawn' single figure will get an upgrade, a different spiked boot to reflect the look in the comic book, and the one from the 3-pack would get the spiked boot, along with a different arm!

ToyFarce News investigated day and night to try to find what the next rewards would be, and we have managed to get the scoop for you about what the next stretch goals will be:

- At $1,900,000: A new headsculpt, smiling "Handsome Al Simmons", with a big afro, will be added to the 3-pack. Also known as the 'Disco Al Simmons' sculpt.

- At $2,000,000: The wooden plank weapon will now be upgrade from plastic to actual wood. That's right, it will be a real piece of wood with a nail in it!

- At $2,250,000: Red clown noses will be added to the 3-pack. Two of them will be painted red, and the third one will be grey, to go with the unpainted figure.

- At $2,500,000: A Santa hat will be added to every figures, at every level. Also, the release dates will conveniently be delayed to december in order for the hat to make more sense.

- At $2,750,000: Todd McFarlane will add a cotton swab with his DNA on it to every levels of the Kickstaster.

- At $3,000,000: Todd McFarlane will give you a phone call to thank you himself for ordering the figures, if you ordered the 3-pack. He may also chat with you about a selection of different subjects, which will be revealed when the stretch goal is reached. (we have heard the weather could be one of the options!) (U.S. only).

- At $10,000,000: Todd McFarlane himself will deliver the figures in person to everybody, will come inside your home if invited, pet your dog, help himself in your fridge, and compliment your house decoration.

There might be more after that, but ToyFarce News would love to know what YOU would like to see as a stretch goal, for the upcoming McFarlane Toys Kickstarter Remastered Spawn figure. (Wrong answers only!)

SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON CANCELLED - SCALPING INDUSTRY TO TAKE HUGE FINANCIAL HIT!

“I'm never going to financially recover from this”

BREAKING NEWS:

SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON CANCELLED - SCALPING INDUSTRY TO TAKE HUGE FINANCIAL HIT!

"I'm never going to financially recover from this" - Joe Exotic

On Friday, April 17th 2020, it was announced that the 2020 edition of the San Diego Comic-Con, the biggest pop culture event of the year, was going to be cancelled for the first time in 50 years due to the coronavirus outbreak. It is a very sad news for fans all around the world, whether they were attending the event, or following the news online during the convention. The San Diego Comic-Con is the biggest and most famous convention, with multiple guests from the comic book, TV or movie industry. It is tradition to see trailers for upcoming movies or TV shows first at the Comic-Con.

Another tradition, when it comes to toys and collectibles, is for brands to have "SDCC Exclusive" products, which usually become the most sought-after items of that year. Brands like Hot Toys, NECA, Funko, Mezco, Hasbro or Mattel usually have several "SDCC exclusives", only available at the event, that get sold out in few minutes every year. This year, several of those brands have already reacted to the news about the cancellation, and told fans and collectors not to worry, because the figures that would have been exclusive to the SDCC will be available online for everyone!

An industry that did not take that news very kindly is the scalping industry. ToyFarce News interviewed a notorious scalper:
"This is bullshit! We spend a whole year getting ready to get those SDCC Exclusives before anyone else, so that we can sell them on eBay for 5 or 6 times the price, but this year, we won't be able to do that! This is our most profitable season of the entire year! This is where we make most of our profit! And this year, we won't be able to do that, because the exclusives will be available to everybody... What are we supposed to do, jack up the prices from last year's exclusives? This is not fair! They are taking food off our table".

It is important to note that the scalpers are still going to try to make a profit over other figures, like the Target Exclusive Marvel Legends Red Hulk or the NECA TMNT two-packs. "We have to think smaller, so we will go for the Target, Walmart or Gamestop exclusives for now, until things go back to normal."

We, at ToyFarce News, hope that everyone is safe and healthy at home. For the scalpers that are still going out for figure hunts, please, do not hesitate not to wear masks, and to shake each other's hands.
